Harrisburg – November 20, 2019 – Sen. Katie Muth (D-Berks, Chester, Montgomery) announced that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) awarded Tri-County Transit funding to assist with efforts to build an alternative fueling station in Chester County.

“As we continue to move towards alternative ways to fuel and energize our transportation systems, it is important to invest in projects that are forward thinking in these efforts,” said Muth. “Congratulations to Tri-County Transit for receiving this investment that will help expand alternative fueling in our area.”

$49,769 was awarded to Tri County Transit Service Inc. for the Transit Propane Fueling Station Project that will build a propane refueling station for their partner Suburban Transit.

The funding was administered through DEP’s 2019 Alternative Fuel Incentive Grants.
