HARRISBURG, August 19, 2022 – State Senator Katie Muth, chair of the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Policy Committee, will join Senator Amanda Cappelletti, Senator John Kane, Senator Sharif Street and Senator Tony Williams next week in East Norriton to host a public hearing on the secondary impacts and consequences of gun violence in Pennsylvania.

The hearing will be held Wednesday, August 24 at 10 a.m. at Einstein Medical Center, located at 559 W. Germantown Pike in East Norriton. The hearing will also accommodate virtual participation and anyone interested can sign up in advance by clicking here.

The hearing will feature three panels of expert testimony and discussion about the impacts that gun violence has to Pennsylvania’s medical community, judicial system, students, and EMS. Confirmed participants in the hearing include Dr. Merle Carter, Executive Vice-Chair of Emergency Medicine, Albert Einstein Healthcare Network; Jack Stollsteimer, Delaware County District Attorney; Alexis Clarke, Executive Director, Chester Community Coalition; Dr. Leah Brogan, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Center for Violence Prevention, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; and Al Davey, Executive Director, Narberth Ambulance.
