HARRISBURG, Noviembre 15, 2022 – State Senator Katie Muth, chair of the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Policy Committee, will join Senator Marty Flynn to host a public hearing on Jueves on the importance of access to early childhood education and its impacts on childhood literacy outcomes.

The public hearing will be held Jueves, Noviembre 17 at 10 a.m. at the Fricchione Early Learning Center at Marywood University. The hearing will also accommodate virtual participation on Zoom and anyone interested can sign up in advance by clicking here.

The hearing will include two panels of testimony that will feature educators, policy experts, and advocates. Confirmed participants include Donna Reid-Kilgore, Pre-K Counts Teacher, Bloom Early Education Center; Laura Sosik, 2nd Grade Teacher, Scranton School District; Donna Salva, Adjunct Professor In Graduate Reading and Education Programs, Marywood University; Lindsey Ramsey, Assistant Director of Policy and Practice, Trying Together; Kimberly Early, Senior Director of Public Policy and Advocacy, Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children; and Donna Cooper, Executive Director, Children First.
