Marzo 23, 2020: Senator Muth Hosts Telephone Town Hall on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Noviembre 19, 2019:  Currently in Pennsylvania, a police officer who sexually assaults a person who’s in custody can say it was consensual as a defense in court. Senator Muth is sponsoring legislation to change that.

Septiembre 24, 2019: When the state budget passed in Junio, lawmakers voted to cut a program called General Assistance, which gave around 200 dollars a month to needy people waiting for federal assistance. Senator Katie Muth is introducing a bill to re-instate the program

Junio 26, 2019:  A provision in one of the 2019 budget bills that came to the floor of the Senate from the House — House Bill 33 — cancels the General Assistance program in Pennsylvania. The program takes about 200 million dollars and gives it in $200 per month increments to the disabled, domestic violence survivors and others who need cash to tide them over until a disability check or some other form of assistance is received. Senate Democrats were not allowed to introduce amendments to the bill that would have restored the General Assistance program, and Senator Muth was interrupted as she tried to speak about General Assistance on the Senate floor.

Junio 17, 2019:  A bill is making its way through the state legislature that would require more of Pennsylvania’s energy be generated by renewable resources. Senator Muth and fellow Senate Democrats say it will generate both clean energy and jobs

Junio 12, 2019:  It’s called the Fair Share Tax Plan, and Senator Muth and her fellow Senate Democrats say it’s designed to shift the state’s personal tax burden to those who can most afford it.

Mayo 15, 2019:  Former patients of convicted pedophile pediatrician, Dr. Johnnie Barto announced the filing of a lawsuit against Conemaugh Health Systems, Laurel Pediatrics and Dr. Barto. The women were joined at a Harrisburg news conference by Senator Muth , who is co-sponsoring Senate Bill 540, a bill which would eliminate the statute of limitations for sexual offenses and open a window for civil liability.

Abril 30, 2019:  Senator Muth, along with Senator Sharif Street, has introduced legislation to abolish the death penalty in Pennsylvania.

Marzo 27, 2019: Senator Muth joined supporters of after school programs for a rally at the state Capitol in Harrisburg to make sure federal funding for these programs stays in place.

Marzo 26, 2019: Senator Muth is part of a group of lawmakers that has put together a package of bills designed to protect Pennsylvania workers from workplace harassment

Marzo 25, 2019:  Senator Muth is a co-sponsor of legislation that will reform the process that deals with sexual harassment among lawmakers and their staffs.
