Royersford – Junio 11, 2019 – Sen. Katie Muth (D-Berks, Chester, Montgomery) is encouraging Pennsylvania seniors and those living with disabilities to apply for property tax and rent assistance through the Department of Revenue’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program.

The department recently announced that the deadline to apply for the program has been extended to the end of the year, Diciembre 31, 2019.

“The Property Tax and Rent Rebate program has offered extremely valuable assistance to Pennsylvanians who are aging and those with disabilities,” said Muth. “The Department of Revenue’s decision to extend this year’s deadline is great news, as it ensures that the program can serve more of our residents.”

The rebate program assists Pennsylvanians over 65, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people living with disabilities age 18 or older who may be struggling with property tax and rental costs.

Last year, nearly 572,000 eligible Pennsylvanians received assistance through the program.

More information about the rebate program and how to apply is available through the Department of Revenue and Sen. Muth’s district office at 338 Main Street, Royersford, PA.
