Royersford – November 12, 2019 – Sen. Katie Muth (D-Berks, Chester, Montgomery) announced that projects in the Royersford Borough and Limerick Township have been approved for funding through the Multimodal Transportation Fund.

Royersford Borough was awarded $1,000,000 to complete the Trestle Bridge Rehabilitation Project and Limerick Township was awarded $783,421 to help with sidewalk improvements along North Lewis Road.

“Every penny of these grants will be spent to ensure our communities are safe!” said Muth. “Completing the Trestle Bridge project in Royersford and improving the sidewalks along North Lewis Road in Limerick will ensure that motorists and pedestrians can travel safely through our communities. It’s time we invest in our neighborhoods and focus on their sustainability.”

Multimodal Transportation Funding is approved and administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.

Funding is awarded to projects that aim to spur economic development and ensure safe and reliable systems of transportations to residents of the Commonwealth.
