Harrisburg – November 19, 2019 – Sen. Katie Muth (D-Berks, Chester, Montgomery) announced that a total of $341,900 in grant funding has been awarded to Chester County to assist with land conservation efforts.

“Ensuring that we have open air spaces to enjoy and use for recreation is important for our communities now and for generations to come,” said Muth. “This funding coming to Chester county will help acquire and preserve land that can provide space for public parks and open space use for residents of the 44th.”

The following grants were awarded through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).

  • $300,000 to Natural Lands Trust, Inc. for the Warwick Woods – Crow’s Nest Preserve Addition;
  • $41,900 to French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust, Inc. for the Schoonmaker Conservation Easement.
