ROYERSFORD, September 9, 2026: State Sen. Katie Muth (D-Chester/Montgomery/Berks) today announced that entities across Senate District 44 have been awarded more than $8.7 million in funding through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).

The PCCD funding sources include grants from the Federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds, Federal Title II Formula Grant Funds, and State Act 80 Funds.

“This annual PCCD funding is critically important for the organizations across the Commonwealth to ensure that they can continue to provide the services, support, and programming victims of crime and abuse need to access,” Muth said. “I will continue to fight for sustainable, fully funded resources for violence prevention and victim services so that those impacted by crime and violence have access to the resources and support they need to rebuild their lives and move forward.”

The following initiatives were funded across Senate District 44 through Federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds:

Regional Initiatives

  • SeniorLAW Center received $1,773,231 for the Keeping Elder Victims S.A.F.E. program in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties.
  • Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania received $495,005 for programs to increase safety for domestic abuse victims in Chester, Montgomery, Bucks and Delaware counties.
  • MidPenn Legal Services received $597,866 for their Legal Interventions for Victims Empowerment (LIVE) program in Berks County and other surrounding counties.
  • CASA Youth Advocates received $371,454 for advocacy for child victims of abuse and neglect in Chester and Delaware Counties.
  • Children’s Crisis Treatment Center received $91,229 for clinical care coordination for child victims in Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties.

Chester County

  • The Domestic Violence Center of Chester County received $727,063 for continuing services for victims of domestic violence.
  • The Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County received $600,592 for their Victims of Crime Act 2025-2027.

Montgomery County

  • The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth received $754,735 for the renewal of the Heather’s Hope Victim Services Program.
  • Victim Services Center of Montgomery County received $483,140 to support programming for sexual assault and other crimes.
  • The Women’s Center of Montgomery County received $418,797 for domestic violence comprehensive services.
  • Laurel House received $368,170 for their services to support those impacted by domestic violence.
  • Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County received $174,116 for a coordinated response to child abuse.

Berks County

  • SAFE Berks received $1,051,348 for their 2025-2027 VOCA funding.
  • Berks County Commissioners received $121,972 to fund programming to enhance services to Berks County victims.
  • CASA of Berks County received $41,794 for continuation of child victim advocacy services.
  • The Community Justice Project received $39,708 for immigration legal services for victims.

Additionally, the Pennsylvania Council of Chief Juvenile Probation Officers received $450,000 in Federal Title II Formula Grant Funds for their 2026-27 Juvenile Justice System Enhancement Strategy (JJSES) project in Chester County.

And the Berks County Commissioners received $188,867 in State Act 80 Funds to support county efforts in forensic science and combatting opioids.
