Local Event Scheduled for Thursday Night in Chester

ROYERSFORD − March 19, 2025 − State Sen. Katie Muth (D-Chester/Montgomery/Berks) today encouraged Pennsylvania residents to participate in upcoming Climate Action Plan Workshops that are scheduled across the Commonwealth over the next month.

Sen. Muth indicated that a Climate Action Plan Workshop, hosted by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), is scheduled locally tomorrow night, Thursday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the ACCESS Chester Community Center located at 701 Booth St. in Chester. The Climate Action Plan Workshops are an opportunity for residents to learn about the need for the Commonwealth to plan for a more sustainable future and to share thoughts and concerns related to climate change. DEP is hosting several workshops across the state to gather feedback on Pennsylvania’s Priority Climate Action Plan that was submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency in March 2024. The Plan highlights nine key actions to reduce statewide greenhouse gas emissions and is a prerequisite to obtaining federal funding under EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Program.
