Royersford, PA – September 18, 2019 – Sen. Katie Muth (D-Berks, Chester, Montgomery) announced funding has been approved for Victory Park to begin the ADA and accessible playground improvement project.

“ADA accessibility is important to ensure that all residents of our community have access to all facilities, programs, and services,” said Muth. “The funding awarded will greatly improve ADA accessibility in Victory Park and it’s playground area, making it more enjoyable for everyone in Royersford, young and old.”

Victory Park was approved for $120,000 to assist with the project. Funding will help with the construction and installation of playground and park amenities, such as a new safe play surface, safety fences, ADA pathways, playground and park signage, benches, trash receptacles, landscaping, and additional ADA parking spaces.

The project is a continuation of local efforts to develop new recreation facilities and open-air spaces near the former industrial area along the Schuylkill River, railroad, and downtown area.

The funding was approved by the Commonwealth Finance Authority (CFA) under the Act 13 Greenways, Trailways, and Recreation (GTRP) program.
